From the Bear’s Den, 2015:
14 Years at Black Bear Island Lodge
It’s that time of year when we get to reflect on the past years at Black Bear Island Lodge. Wow, looking back over the years, from where we were then, to where we are now, is truly amazing! So many awesome things have been accomplished.
DJ and Dawn are truly fortunate to have some of the finest pike and walleye fishing anywhere. Trophy fish can be found around every corner and that’s not a fish story. Our scenery here is breathtakingly beautiful. More importantly, the phenomenal groups of guests over the last 14 years have allowed us to be a part of the memories that will last them a lifetime.
When we say it’s “More Than”, it really is the truth¦ It’s the brothers reuniting, the families that took the time to get away from it all just to enjoy the great outdoors and remember what makes them who they are. The husbands and wives remembering why they were together in the first place. The fathers, sons and daughters making new memories. Friends and business acquaintances catching up on all the latest news. We say it really is a trip that’s “More Than!”
Make no mistake, our fishing is incredible, the hunting is incredible, yet all of that seems insignificant when you are sitting on your deck sipping coffee as the sun rises over the lake and you get to see some of the greatest views God ever put on this earth.
We appreciate you considering Black Bear Island Lodge for your next Fishing or Hunting trip. We assure you that we will do everything possible to make it the trip of a lifetime. We are large enough to serve you and small enough to know your name. You won’t get lost in the crowd here. To make sure your trip is a complete success, we don’t take your final payment until your last day at the lodge when your trip is done and we have honored what we sold you.
It’s our promise to you - to always keep YOU, the customer, first.
You will see a small sampling of what 2014 looked like from the customer standpoint. All of the pictures are from this last season. Once again showing you what we truly have to offer.
On a personal note from The Daddy Bear in the Den:
Many of our guests have seen our girls grow up over the last 14 years. Audrey and Zach were married in 2011, are living in Florida, and doing great. Our family is expanding again this year. Our youngest daughter, Cortney, is getting married in January, 2015. We are so blessed to add Ryan Teed to our family. They were engaged at the lodge with family and friends around to witness the proposal. We are so excited to see what the future holds for the both of them.
