We have sites that have been hit by up to 4 bears at a time.  The opportunity is there.  Do NOT wear scent cover ups.
What are the requirements for flying with a weapon?

Yes, all of our hunting packages include the same offer as a fishing package.
You will be in the stand according to when the bears are moving. Usually that is after shore lunch. Supper will be waiting for you after your hunt.

30% of our bears have been record bears.

Yes, after skinning we will freeze the hide.
We have a supply of fishing gear that we make available for hunters. There is a refundable deposit, if the items are returned in the same condition as when they were checked out. This is on a first come first served bases, make sure you check with DJ prior to your trip.
Recent amendments to the regulations have relaxed the color dress code. Individuals hunting big game during a rifle season are now required to wear a suit of scarlet, bright yellow, blaze orange, white or any combination of these colors from the waist up only. Hunters are still required to wear headwear of any of the colors listed, except white.
The minimum age is 12 by the time of the hunting date.
We allow 6 - 10 hunters at a time. Plus fisher-people.
How many baited sites do you have to accommodate that many?
We have over 52 bait sites exclusive to BBIL.
Do I have to wear hunter orange while hunting?
Yes,  you may take both with you. When you purchase a license, there is no specification on weapon, so you may use either.
Honestly, what are my real chances in seeing a bear?
Which season is easier to hunt, which season has the largest bears.
The bigger bears tend to be seen during the fall hunts. The fall hunt tends to be more of a challenge, as well.
I would like to use a bow & arrow on my hunt, but I would like to take a rifle in the event that I would get a better shot with it. May I take both weapons to the stand with me?

What animals can I hunt?
Color phase black bears and as of fall of 2008, moose.
Do you have out post hunts?
Yes, as of 2008. All out post hunts are light house keeping, a guide will assist and be your host during your hunt.
