When flying from the states, where do I want to fly to?
Due to uncontrolled weather conditions, we are requiring as of May 2007: you must fly out of BBIL the evening before your scheduled Saskatoon flight.
Example:
Your booking a 7 night stay at Black Bear Island Lodge, plan to stay the 8th night in La Ronge or Saskatoon. There will be no scheduled departure flights, from BBIL, prior to 11:30 AM
You will need to check in to the water base offices.
Location is down town (Main St.) across from KFC and Robertson's Trading Post. They will confirm your arrival with BBIL. See above question.

Each flight (from La Ronge to the Lodge) allows for a 75 lb. per person weight limit. Transport Canada regulations. If your group requires a larger plane, there will be an additional charge.
Yes, here are a few. Reservations are recommended if you plan to stay over night. Black Bear Island Lodge is not responsible for making these reservation, or for services provided by any other facility.
      La Ronge Hotel & Suites (306) 425-2190
newly renovated
       Waterbase Inn: (306) 425-5550
        Drifter's Motel (306) 425-2224

We will do our best to work with your schedule. As for flights out of the lodge & your connecting flights, we cannot control weather or the charter flying service available to us.  Sometimes weather can delay your departure. Because of this, BBIL does not have departure flights from the lodge before 11:30 am. If you have a flight leaving Saskatoon to the states, you MUST schedule your Saskatoon flight for the day following your BBIL departure.
Every person on their flights are insured for $1,000,000.00 (one million dollars)
No, your flight is included in your package. BBIL will schedule your flight, you just need to check in as soon as you arrive in La Ronge.
Usually this question arises when travel agents are unaware of airlines from Saskatoon to La Ronge. Our recommended travel agent can help you with these questions.

Some people find it easier to fly, while others would prefer to rent a car for a larger group and take the 232 mile trip.

The form of travel which works best for you can be put together as a package for you and your group.  (Lobstick information below)
